With the new year comes potential to reflect upon one's past decisions, to refresh one's perspective, re-evaluate one's priorities, and to reinvent one's self for the coming year.
Ha Det is step one for me: it is saying "goodbye" to old habits and inclinations I've held on to that prevent me from creating the art I want to make.
There's no grand statement here, nor a show of technical prowess, but rather an exorcism of my aural demons: gimmickry, overproduction and the beating of dead horses.
Expect harsher material in the coming year(s): Ha Det is meant to clean out some of my better ambient-sounding tracks for a fresh start in 2020.
